Some people have declared the stainless steel appliance trend over (cue the gasps!). We used stainless appliances in our kitchen, but have decided against them for our beach house, so we're weighing in on when you might want to pull the trigger on stainless - or avoid it completely. And speaking of the kitchen, we've been trying some new things in there lately, including jumping on a certain culinary bandwagon, bringing some organization to our fridge, and finally taking a couple of those meal delivery services for a spin to see if they’re all that they're cracked up to be.

    Hi Sherry & John!

I was listening to your podcast this morning while bullet journaling; have you discovered the wonders of bujo yet? ;)
Anyway, I had a real parallel lives moment with you, Sherry. I, too, have been eating a vegan (I call it plant-based) diet since June of this year. Love love love Ben & Jerry’s non-dairy ice creams. The almond brittle is amaze-balls. There’s another brand, I think it’s called So Delicious, that is coconut based. Yum!!! A person can’t be expected to live without ice cream, I mean, how, why??? :)

Also, I use the same fridge bins! Tip you may already know: don’t put them in the dishwasher- I did and they got all warped and misshapen. Oh well, they’re cheap enough to replace. And so useful!

Love the show. It’s like listening to two friends shootin’ the sh*t, as we say.

    Peace, love and veggies!✌️

Hi guys, I tried a meal planning website a few years ago and loved it! You have to do the shopping, but it's easy and only 20 fresh ingredients per week. They also offer lots of variations for size of family, vegetarian, etc. It's called thefresh20.com. My husband is a chef and was skeptical, but we both enjoyed the new meal ideas. And, there was always leftovers for lunches. You might want to check it out. Thanks for your podcast! It's my favorite way to pass the time while cleaning up the kitchen after dinner.

I have a budgeting suggestion when self-employed. You mentioned that it’s difficult to achieve a monthly budget for y’all because of your variable income. A method I learned from my Dad is to pay yourselves a monthly/biweekly “salary” by which you can budget.
